Margaret Blick Kigozi
Margaret Blick Kigozi, joined the Shell Foundation Board of Trustees in July 2015.
Professor Kigozi is the President of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women in Kampala, Uganda and a Director of Crown Beverages Ltd. Professor Kigozi initially practiced medicine in Uganda, Zambia and Kenya before moving into the commercial sector. In 1999 she became the Executive Director of the Uganda Investment Authority. Spearheading this organisation, she was able to attract $4 billion direct foreign investment and over $10 billion planned investments into Uganda
Professor Kigozi has gained experience in both the private and public sector. Prior to her role in the UIA, Professor Kigozi was the Marketing Director at Crown Bottlers (Pepsi) Ltd and a member of the Board of Uganda Manufacturers Association, playing a key role advising the Ugandan government on private sector friendly policies. Professor Kigozi has held a number of other notable positions in Uganda including: Chancellor of Nkumba University; Chief of the Uganda Scouts Association and Associate Professor at Makerere University. More recent professional experience includes consultancy work with UNIDO and ITC.
