Absolute Energy - Energy Provision in Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda

Absolute Energy provides a holistic solution to energy provision for both residential and business customers in Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda.

They tackle policy and finance challenges by working with local regulators and providing local community business and skills support and are committed to delivering 24/7, stable and reliable electricity to off-grid communities.

DFID.jpgThis short video demonstrates what access to energy and jobs means to the local people on Kitobo Island, on Lake Victoria in Uganda, where Absolute have set up a pilot site with support from Shell Foundation and the UK Department for International Development, improving the livelihoods of 3,000 local people.
Absolute worked with local regulators on Kitobo to secure long-term concessions to operate the sites exclusively for an agreed period, allowing them to make operations financially viable for customers and investors.
