Peris Ngatho joined Shell Foundation in September 2026.
Peris brings over 10 years of experience across investment, development finance and financial advisory in Africa.
Most recently, Peris worked with ING Wholesale Banking’s Transition Accelerator in the Netherlands, supporting financing for businesses and technologies contributing to the clean energy transition, including EV charging infrastructure.
Previously, Peris was a Transaction Leader at Open Capital Advisors, leading and supporting debt and equity transactions and donor-funded programmes across sub-Saharan Africa, in various sectors including agriculture and renewable energy. Her work focused on expanding access to finance and facilitating investment for SME and growth-stage business. She supported international development finance initiatives including USAID’s Feed the Future Ghana Mobilizing Finance in Agriculture activity, West Africa Trade and Investment hub and Power Africa, as well as Innovate UK’s Energy Catalyst Acceleration programme. She also worked with foundations, development finance institutions and impact investors on investment initiatives across the region.
Peris holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Finance Specialization from the University of Nairobi and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
