SF portfolio enterprise Sure Chill recently received recognition for its innovative cooling technology after winning the UK Eagle Lab Innovation category at the Barclays’ annual High-Growth & Entrepreneur Awards.

The awards celebrate entrepreneurs’ success, leadership and positive impact on society.

Sure Chill has developed and patented unique technology that enables cooling equipment to maintain a constant temperature without constant power.

Entirely natural and without chemicals or electrodes, their first product, a vaccine refrigerator, can stay cool for 12 days without power in a tropical 43°C and has achieved sales in over 40 countries.

SF is supporting Sure Chill, as part of our strategic partnership with the UK Government, to apply the technology in areas of poor electricity connection, looking at home refrigeration as well as cold chain logistic uses.

We are currently field testing off-grid units in Kenya and weak-grid units in India, and also developing solutions for new market sectors.

“The award is wonderful recognition of how far Sure Chill has come in so little time. Our technology transforms lives and is tackling the world’s most complex cooling challenges. This year has been a great year for the company. We are on an exciting growth journey and entering new markets taking our technology to all corners of the globe,” said Nigel Saunders, Sure Chill’s CEO.
