Emma is the Head of Portfolio: Transporter at Shell Foundation. She joined the Shell Foundation in 2016 working across mobility, energy and enabling enterprises with focus on new technology evaluation in a variety of business development and incubation areas.
Emma currently works in support of a range of partners spanning Africa and India and enjoys the variety of collaborating with social enterprises at an early stage of their development. Prior to joining Shell Foundation, Emma worked globally in a variety of technical engineering and operational roles since 2009 within the Shell Group.
Emma was in the Rotating Equipment Engineering division of Shell Global Solutions as part of Projects and Technology, providing technical support to Shell and external third party customers, during her time in this role Emma gained Chartered Engineer status through the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. Emma has previous experience in Caterpillar’s Electric Power manufacturing division and holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from The University of Glasgow where she also enjoyed learning to fly in the RAF reserves.
