Huibert Vigeveno joined Shell Foundation as a Trustee in November 2021.
Huibert Vigeveno was appointed Shell’s Downstream Director and a member of the Executive Committee of Royal Dutch Shell on 1 January 2020. He was previously EVP Global Commercial, responsible for Shell’s B2B organisation grouping Shell’s Lubricants, Aviation and Specialities (Bitumen and Sulphur) businesses.
Prior to joining Global Commercial, Huibert led the integration of BG Group, Shell’s biggest acquisition in more than a century and was Executive Chairman of Shell in China, strengthening Shell’s Upstream and Downstream businesses within China and internationally with Chinese partners.
Since joining Shell as a Business Analyst in 1995, Huibert has gained extensive sales, marketing and general management experience during assignments in Chemicals, Shell Capital, LPG and Lubricants and as Vice President Supply and Distribution, Europe & Africa, where he played a key role in driving closer integration and creating additional value across the Downstream value chain. His international career at Shell has spanned the UK, the Netherlands, the USA, Mexico, Brazil and China.
Huibert is a Dutch National, speaks seven languages and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. He’s married to Annick and they have four children.
