Tom Baird joined Shell Foundation’s Board of Trustees in August 2025. Tom is Vice President for Global Policy & Advocacy and Corporate Relations Europe at Shell plc. Tom is also currently a Board Director at Carbonext.
Before these positions, Tom was Senior Adviser to the CEO of Shell. Before Shell, Tom worked for two intergovernmental organisations (the International Energy Agency and the Commonwealth Secretariat); he reported for The Sunday Times newspaper; and he authored a best-selling current affairs book, published by HarperCollins.
