BIX Capital

BIX Capital is an investment vehicle that provides carbon pre-financing to increase access to emission reducing, durable products such as cookstoves or comparable products for low-income customers. BIX Capital addresses affordability challenges and cements potential partnerships between carbon developers, technology manufacturers, and route-to-market distribution partners.

Shell Foundation provided operational support to the BIX Fund for its setup and OPEX costs during fundraising, including due diligence costs.

Shell Foundation provides funding to cover the costs of independently managing the fund. The Fund is designed to address the affordability barrier and lack of finance related to energy products and services for the most underserved.
