It works with farmers to improve the productivity and quality of various crops and sources the finest of grains, oil seeds, pulses and a range of value-added agri products such as processed fruits, coffee, spices and shrimps across multiple geographies in India.
ITC Agri Business’s unique strength is the extensive linkages it has established with the farmers. To unleash next generation agriculture, foster demand-responsive value-chains, promote climate-smart agriculture and digitally empower farmers, ITC has launched ITC MAARS (Metamarket for Advanced Agriculture and Rural Services) – a pioneering ‘phygital’ (a combination of physical and digital interventions) ecosystem that provides an array of new-age agri solutions to empower farmers.
Project Focus
The Scaling Climate-Smart Agriculture for Livelihoods and Entrepreneurship (SCALE) programme, developed by Shell Foundation in partnership with ITC Limited, aims to show how climate-smart innovations – when delivered through Farmer Producer Organisations – can boost rural incomes, improve resource efficiency, and support inclusive entrepreneurship. The programme aspires to reach one million farmers within five years.
